One on the creamiest frozen deserts. My favorite flavor was coffee which is a frozen custard that has more eggs then ice cream. It is made at the store.

I don't believe I've ever had custard .... But theirs was delicious and non fat I'm sure ;) .

Not a welcoming atmosphere. Staff had an unfriendly, annoyed attitude. The shop seems clean. There's a grocery store nextdoor with good ice cream.

Its a small ice cream shop located in the relaxing place that is the Florida Keys. Their prices are rather expensive, but the desserts are pretty good. I doubt I would go back and pay $7 for the smores sundae again, but it did satisfy my sweet tooth. The butter beer was delicious and excellent! Gotta try that if you go! But once again, it was expensive.

Shirleys is a small shop in a grocery plaza, more like a take-out place but with some tables and seating. It's pretty non-descript, decorated with seemingly random signs and banners, but the food was good and quick. They serve ice cream and fast food sandwiches, an interesting combination. The thing that actually got me into the store was the big sign out front advertising Butter Beer, so I had to go in and ask what that was. Turns out it's a reference to Harry Potter, and is a butterscotch, root beer, and cream float! So delicious, and since I'm a closet HP fan, so cool. I also had the pulled-pork sandwich, called The Big Fatty, which was also really good. The pork was very tender and flavourful and I had a choice of "tropical bbq" or regular bbq sauce. I was a little apprehensive when I saw her reheating the pork, but I guess if it's been cooking for so long anyway, what's the harm in storing it cold and reheating it? At the end of the day, I thought it was delicious and wished I had room for ice cream afterwards. Shirleys is next to a Key West Key Lime Pie Co. store, so you can run next door afterwards for dessert if you're not feeling up for ice cream!
